At WayWay, we are committed to providing a high level of service and safety to both our drivers and passengers. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we require all drivers to adhere to the following Code of Conduct.
By accepting a job through the WayWay platform, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below:
Vehicle Roadworthiness: Before accepting any job, ensure that your vehicle has passed all relevant inspections and is in roadworthy condition. The vehicle must be regularly serviced and maintained to meet safety standards.
Vehicle Condition Check: You are responsible for inspecting your vehicle for any defects. Before each shift, check for the following:
Compliance with Local Laws: You are required to comply with all local traffic laws and regulations, including those related to licensing, insurance, and vehicle safety. You must always drive in a manner that ensures the safety of your passengers, other road users, and yourself.
Licensing: Ensure that you have the required Private Hire Vehicle License (PDVL) and any other necessary licenses issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore. Failure to maintain your license may result in deactivation from the platform.
Zero Tolerance Policy: WayWay has a zero-tolerance policy towards the consumption of illegal substances, alcohol, or any other impairing substances while on duty. Consuming alcohol or drugs in your vehicle during a shift is a serious violation of our Code of Conduct and Singapore law.
Clean and Hygienic Vehicle: It is your responsibility to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for passengers. Any uncleanliness or unsanitary conditions in your vehicle will not be tolerated.
Professional Behavior: Treat every passenger with the utmost respect and courtesy. You are expected to maintain professionalism at all times, assisting passengers with their luggage if necessary and ensuring a comfortable journey.
Harassment and Discrimination: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior (whether physical or verbal) toward passengers or other road users is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.
Vehicle Decal: Ensure that your vehicle is properly affixed with the WayWay decal as required by local authorities. If the decal is missing, damaged, or tampered with, immediately report it to WayWay.
Insurance: It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle is covered by valid commercial motor vehicle insurance, including third-party risks to protect both passengers and other road users.
In-Vehicle Recording Device: If your vehicle is equipped with an inward-facing recording device (IVRD), you must inform WayWay and ensure compliance with local regulations regarding the usage of such devices.
No Fraudulent Activity: Fraudulent behavior, including falsifying ride requests, manipulating fares, or abusing the platform, is prohibited. WayWay reserves the right to terminate your account for any such activity.
No Fake Accounts: The creation of multiple fake accounts to gain benefits or mislead the platform is a violation of the WayWay Code of Conduct.
By using the WayWay platform to accept jobs, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the Driver’s Code of Conduct and all relevant laws and regulations.
Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of your account, and possible legal consequences, depending on the severity of the breach.
